The Central – one of the top 10 mountain bike hotels in the Alps!

Boss of “Mountainbike Magazin”, Jens Vögele, gives top marks to the tri-border region of Austria, Switzerland and Italy as a biker and to Hotel Central as a guest.

“Harry Ploner, landlord of Hotel Central, has always been committed to mountain biking. His hotel is specifically geared up to the needs of bikers: it is comfortable, serves the right food and has a sauna. I also love the personal atmosphere and the excellent location close to Lake Reschen. It is an ideal base for tours such as the 3 countries tour or the Uina gorge route. With gravel trails, single tracks, military and forest roads – more than 1,400 kilometres of bike tours have been developed and signposted around Nauders. By the way, it is also a TOP destination for racing cyclists!”

“At the biking Hotel Central in Nauders, you are guaranteed to have an absolutely fantastic weekend. The evening meals are delicious, the breakfast buffet amazing, the spa area superb, and landlord Harry Ploner himself is a pioneer of biking in the region. The area is also ideal if you have children: friends of ours rode with their three-year old son in a trailer up the forest road to the Grünsee. You follow the trails on the way down; of course, with a trailer, you stick to the forest paths. For practising and improving your riding technique, there is a small, but perfectly laid out bike training area.”

“Gentle smugglers’ trails across the borders, lifts, friendly accommodation, no restrictions and panoramic views of the Ortler Alps – this is what makes Nauders on the Reschenpass one of the top destinations.” “Bike Hotel Central ... Four-star hotel with spa area and landlord who caters to all bikers’ needs …”

"Located in a peaceful and sunny spot in the centre of the village, Hotel Central is the last word in bike hotels."
